Playa Es Cavallet is one of two beaches at the southern tip of Ibiza, bordering the large salt ponds. The other beach, Playa Ses Salines, is on the other side of the long headland (Punta Ses Portes) that is just south of Es Cavallet.

While nudity is acceptable along the entire one-kilometer length of Es Cavallet, the north end near the parking lot tends to be textile. As you go south, there is more of a nudist and textile mix, and the crowd becomes almost all male. Ibiza is a popular gay travel destination, and Es Cavallet is the preferred gay beach of the island. There is a beach bar called Chiringay near the south end of the beach (marked by rainbow flags).

If you keep walking south past the end of the beach, you'll be on the Ses Portes headland. At about 800 meters past the end of the beach, you'll reach a medieval stone tower (pinpointed) at the tip of Ses Portes. Nude sunbathing is very common along the tiny, rocky coves on both sides of the headland. If you explore all of the coast along the headland, you'll end up at Playa Ses Salines.

The parking lot at the northern end of Es Cavallet is insufficient, with cars often lining the road. To avoid parking headaches, many visitors bicycle from Ibiza town or take the bus that runs from Ibiza town to Playa Ses Salines. The Ses Salines bus makes a stop along route PM-802 at the turnoff to Es Cavallet. From there you'll have to walk 1.2 kilometers to the north end of the beach. Another option is parking at Ses Salines, which has a bigger lot, and hiking across the beach and the headland to reach Es Cavallet.
