Kandarola Beach is the most popular nude beach on the island of Rab and among the best in Croatia. The heart of the beach is a shallow bay that is popular with swimmers. In this area, there is a beach café, sun chairs, thatched umbrellas and even a small water slide. There is also a series of small, rocky coves extending in either direction from the main bay. Altogether, the nude area covers about 1.5 kilometers of shoreline. There is a small entrance fee.

Kandarola Beach is situated on the west side of the Frkanj peninsula, which itself is part of a larger land mass called the Kalifront peninsula. Frkanj forms the western side of a deep and prominent bay called St. Euphemia (Sveta Eufemija in Croatian). Rab town and Palit are on the eastern side of the bay. Kandarola extends westward to a bay called Matovica, and across that small bay are Hotel Eva, Hotel Carolina and Suha Punta bungalows (collectively shaded in orange). The far western end of Kandalora, toward Matovica Bay, is popular with gay men.

If you visit the beach by car, parking is available at the above-mentioned hotels. The walking distance from old town Rab to Kandarola Beach (around the top of St. Euphemia Bay) is about 4.5 kilometers. It is also possible to arrive by taxi boat from Rab town or Palit. Two marinas from which taxi boats depart are shaded in pink. If you leave from the Rab marina, which is on the east side of the old town area, look for the "FKK" taxi boat, which goes directly to the beach. There is hourly service. Another option is to leave from the Palit marina, which is on the east side of St. Euphemia Bay. (Palit is the adjacent town immediately north of Rab, just a 10-minute walk from the Rab old town area.) Taxi boats cross St. Euphemia Bay several times an hour. Once you land on the western shore of the bay, walk across to the western side of the Frkanj peninsula, then turn right (north) and watch for signs to the beach.
