Praia de Trafal, also known as Praia Cavalo Preto, refers to a segment of beach between the resort towns Quateira and Vale do Lobo. Nudity is common on the eastern part of the beach, close to the edge of the Vale do Lobo golf course. It is possible to park very close to the nude area. (Or, if you park at the beach café, you'll have to walk about 400 meters to the east.) The nude part of the beach is attended mostly by gay men.

Keep walking about 500 meters east of the nude area (past the golf course) to view the beautiful red sandstone cliffs of Vale do Lobo, but you should probably wear something. While it is possible to reach the nude beach via Vale do Lobo, parking is easier and more abundant via the directions given here.
