Always fascinating high desert wilderness area with a network of trails and excellent off-trail hiking among extraordinary old junipers, intriguing lava formations, subtle and magnificent beauty with expansive views of the Central Oregon high desert and the Oregon Cascades. This is a year-round haven. On almost all visits, the only people I've seen (nude or otherwise) are those who accompanied me.
