Although predominantly a textile beach, nudity is tolerated at one end of Praia do Zavial. The entire beach is just over 300 meters long, and it is naturally divided into three areas of approximately equal lengths. The western third next to the park lot is a deep alluvial fan that is textile. The central third, which is the narrowest part of the beach, is also textile. The somewhat broader eastern third of the beach is considered the nude area, but it tends to be a mix of nudists and textiles. Nudists may also populate the hidden niches beyond the rocks at the east end of the beach, especially on peak days when the nude area of the main beach is overrun with non-nudists. If you get hungry, put on your shorts and take a short walk to the beach café at the western end of the beach (closed Mondays).
