Praia da Comporta is a large and popular beach that is a segment of the immense 60-kilometer-long beach that stretches from Sines north to the Sado river estuary at Setúbal. Comporta is a very popular textile beach backed by large dunes. Nudity becomes acceptable as you walk south away from the textiles. Go at least a kilometer from the beach entrance before disrobing. The beach has great views of the mountains on the horizon to the northwest.
