Penhale Sands is a 2-mile-long beach. The southern quarter of the beach is a deep crescent abutting the village of Perranporth, and that is where most beachgoers (textile) gather. From there, the beach narrows and extends north over 1.5 miles (past a vast caravan park) and ends at a headland. Nudity is common on the far north end of the beach, but attendance by nudists seems rather light. Nudity apparently continues despite a nudity ban imposed around 2006. Discretion may be in order.
