Nudity occurs on this expansive beach just west of the River Hayle estuary even though local authorities have historically not been especially receptive to naturist use. Police that visit the beach regularly apparently patrol for inappropriate activity and do not bother people just for being naked, but some discretion may be in order. Many nude sunbathers seek shelter in the dunes. The beach is rarely crowded since parking in Leland is limited and not adjacent to the beach.
