Durdle Door Beach, which stretches not quite 2/3 mile, is one of England's most beautiful beaches. The far east end of the beach is the location of a natural arch that is a scenic wonder. Many tourists come to visit the arch. As you go west on the beach, the white chalky cliffs begin to rise dramatically. The beach ends at a prominent headland called Bat's Head. Nudists gather at the extreme west end of the beach near Bat's Head and a rock column just offshore, well away from the throngs of textiles near the arch.

The only way to enter the beach is via the steps at the east end, and the middle part of the beach below the highest part of the cliffs disappears at high tide. If you see the water rising, make your escape toward the arch before you get trapped. Despite the grand scenery, the beach draws only a smattering of naturists, and it is visible from the top trail atop the cliff above, which probably hinders attendance by nudists.
