Eastney is an urban nude beach on the east end of Portsmouth. This shingle beach abuts a military base and is backed by the Ministry of Defence (MOD) radar station. There is ample parking and the walk to the nude area is short. Although not known for picturesque beauty, the beach in nonetheless well attended but rarely crowded. As you walk to the beach, you'll walk down a short, narrow lane between a caravan park (hidden by hedges) and the fenced military complex. At the end of the lane, turn left (east) and the designated nude area begins after a short distance, directly in front of the military buildings. There is supposed to be a sign that states "The Beach Beyond This Point is Used by Nudists," but it seems to regularly get stolen, so you may or may not encounter signage.
