The beach at Telscombe Cliffs has a long history of nude use, and nudist attendance is almost exclusively by gay men. The beach is tucked away along the short stretch between Saltdean and Peacehaven, and some access peculiarities seem to be responsible for its nudist history. Access from Peacehaven (via the given directions) is not particularly obvious to those not in the know. Walking from Saltdean, the tides often cut off the beach. While there are often a scattering of naked men here, nude sunbathers are advised to use a bit of discretion. When the tide is out, some textile strollers wander down the beach from Saltdean.
