Camber Sands is a beach that is about 1.25 miles long. The east end of the beach abuts the village of Camber and is a popular textile beach. The west end of the beach is defined by the mouth of the River Rother. Nudity occurs toward the far western end of the beach, although perhaps with some discretion. Attendance by nudists seems to be fairly low, despite easy access. Sometimes nudists take shelter in the dunes if there are too many textiles around, and nudity may not be an especially viable option on crowded summer weekends. Nearby Fairlight Cove to the west, in contrast, draws bigger crowds even though it takes a bit of effort to reach.
To reach the nude area of the beach, follow the broad, sandy path that is straight ahead from the entrance to the earthen parking lot. Turn right at the beach and go west about 500 yards (about halfway between the access path and the end of the beach) before stripping down.
