Kenfig Burrows Beach, also commonly known as Sker Beach, is a long beach that extends about 2.3 miles, with a headland defining the south end and the mouth of a stream defining the north end. The beach is backed by a nature reserve that consists of a vast field of sand dunes. The beach is lightly attended overall since a trek of a mile through the dunes is required to reach the beach. Most textiles stick toward the south end of the beach, which is the part of the beach most quickly reached from the parking area. The north end is usually deserted or nearly so, providing ample space for nudity. Despite conditions favorable to bare bathing, nudist attendance is sparse (perhaps due to the long walk). Don't expect to see more than a handful of other nudists—maybe a dozen on the best days. Most nude sunbathing seems to occur in the dunes. Because nudity is not officially allowed and attendance is so light, nudists are advised to cover up when textile strollers or horseback riders pass through.
