Morfa Dyffryn is by far the most popular nude beach in Wales, and it is among the top handful of nude beaches in the entire U.K. Some would rank it second to Studland for notability. Most would agree it is at least in the top five. This long beach spans well over two miles, with a broad swath of sand and large dunes. Nude bathers have long gathered toward the north end. Authorities finally gave the official seal of approval around 2000 and erected signs, designated just over half a mile of the beach for naturist use. The red line very roughly approximates the length of the nude area. From beach parking, go to the beach, turn right and walk north about 15 or 20 minutes (depending on which lot) until you see the sign announcing the naturist area. This beach can draw hundreds of bare bathers on warm weekends, and the north end of the nude area is popular with gay visitors.
