The Ledges is an area of granite outcroppings on the Harriman Reservoir in southern Vermont. In a state full of skinnydipping sites, this is Vermont's favorite, and it is also the most popular interior (non-coastal) nude beach in New England. The land is owned by the PG&E power company (formerly NEPCO), and the nude area is just north of the company's picnic grounds. The power company has been very cooperative and friendly toward nudists. Sunbathing on the flat rocks is popular, as is rafting and diving from the rocks into the cold water. There is a small sandy beach area below the rocks, but it is sometimes under water.

The Ledges tends to draw more women and families that most other nude sites in Vermont, with a male/female ratio of about 2 to 1. Summer weekends draw 100 to 150 people, virtually all nude. The Ledges has a friendly and social atmosphere although some traditional beach activities such as volleyball are impossible due to the rocky terrain. Be sure not to undress until well beyond the picnic area, in accordance with signs posted by PG&E. Primitive toilet facilities are located in the picnic area.
