The Punch Bowl is a swimming hole on the Mad River in Warren, just south of the Waitsfield town line (about 25 miles southwest of Montpelier). It is accessed through private property, but the owners keep the area open to the public and allow (and even encourage) nudity. A fence provides privacy from traffic on the nearby highway. A message painted on the fence reads "Punch Bowl, Welcome, Nude Use Beyond This Point." Because of this signage and the privacy fence, swimsuits are rare at this site.

The owners emphasize that this is a family-oriented, children-friendly nude site. There is a picnic area here, but there are no restrooms or other amenities. To ensure continued good relations with the property owners, do not drive through the field and be sure to pack out your trash.
