Red Rocks Park, just a few miles south of the center of Burlington, covers about 100 acres at the mouth of Shelburne Bay on Lake Champlain. There is a small sandy beach facing the bay (i.e., facing south) near the parking lot, but you'll find only textiles there. Nudity occurs in the southwest corner of the park, where the bay meets the lake. There is no beach here, but nude sunbathing is customary on the large, flat rocks. You may find a handful of nudists here on warm days. Sunbathers have great views of the Adirondack Mountains across the lake in New York.
Red Rocks Park is under the jurisdiction of South Burlington, which actually has an anti-nudity ordinance. However, police leave nudists alone unless they receive complaints (which usually come from boaters on the lake), and even then will only ask nudists to dress. The likelihood of being hassled for nudity is low. The park entry fee is $5.
