Starr Farm Beach is a newly colonized beach on the shore of Lake Champlain, just a few miles north of downtown Burlington. Although it is in a residential area, it is tucked away and out of sight. The beach is mostly covered with fallen trees, driftwood and brush. In 2003, a small group of nudists cleared part of the beach, declared it a spot for nudists and promoted it on the websites swimmingholes.org and nakedinvermont.com. They have apparently encountered no resistance from locals (Burlington is über liberal), and Burlington does not have an anti-nudity law. Attendance is light.
