Chautauqua Gorge provides a peaceful, beautiful and rarely crowded atmosphere for skinnydipping in western New York, not far from Lake Erie and the Pennsylvania border. Locals have designated a mile-long stretch of this beautiful gorge for nude use. Skinny Dip Falls, the most popular swimming hole, is near the end of the traditional nude area. Along the way, you'll pass several other swimming holes and flat, rocky areas along Chautauqua Creek that are ideal for nude swimming and sunbathing. There have been no reports of visitors being hassled about nudity here. This is a remote, undeveloped area, so bring whatever supplies you need and be sure to pack out your garbage.
