Laguna Creek Beach is a ruggedly beautiful beach backed by a marshy lagoon. The beach is a little more than 1/3-mile long, consisting of a deep cove in the middle and smaller coves at either end that disappear at high tide, and the entire stretch is frequented by nude bathers. While overall not as popular or crowded as Bonny Doon Beach two miles to the north, Laguna Creek has much more of a reputation as a gay beach. There are rarely more than 50 visitors on the entire beach, even on warm days, and the parking lot holds at most 25 cars when packed to capacity. Because the beach is unsigned and access is very inconspicuous, it tends to draw only nudists in the know, along with occasional bird watchers who visit the lagoon behind the beach. Bird watchers are known to occasionally call the police to report lewd behavior, but cops reportedly never bother people just for being nude as this is a well-established nude beach. Be careful of poison oak on the trails.
