Part of Point Reyes National Seashore, Limantour Beach is a huge beach that stretches for miles. Nude use is well accepted on more remote parts of this beautiful beach. Limantour is a paradise for nature lovers and naturists alike. The beach is so large that it never seems crowded, even when 200 or so visitors show up on warm summer weekends. It is an excellent place for whale watching in late spring, and you'll often see deer and elk roaming the property and seals on the beach.

The parking lot provides access to the central part of the seven-mile beach, and nudity is not recommended in this area. (Due to complaints from textiles in the late 90's, rangers started warning nudists to stay out of view of non-nudists.) There are several miles of beach in both directions from the parking lot, but nudity is more common on the north end. You should walk north at least half a mile before disrobing. If you're inclined, you can take a naked stroll north for a couple of miles to the end of the beach, where you'll be on a broad spit of sand with the Pacific on one side and a backwater bay on the other. Despite such a huge area for being naked, most nude sunning takes place in the dunes.
