The beach below Mohegan Bluffs, Block Island, can be reached by walking to the right from the base of the stairs. Continue for about one half mile until you are past the point. This not an official clothing optional beach, in fact public nudity is illegal in Rhode Island. That being said, it's not uncommon to find more nude or topless beachgoers than textiles here, but there may be days during the summer when there are too many textiles around to feel comfortable baring it all. The beach is a mix of rocks and sand with some boulders which can provide some privacy. Cover up if you are near families with children. Swim at your own risk. The ocean can be rough here and there are no lifeguards. Bring your own food, water, and shade.
