Langwieder Seen is the collective name of three lakes that comprise a popular urban recreation area ("seen" is the plural of "see," the word for lake). This area is in the far northwest of Munich.

When you enter the large parking lot, you'll be next to the large textile beach along Luss See, which is the middle of the three lake. To the south is Langwieder See, where there is a large hotel. A few hundred meters north of the parking lot is Birkensee, which is the smallest of the lakes. This lake is designated for FKK use. Most nudists gather on the north shore of the lake, which abuts the autobahn (so there is some background noise). The nude area is a short walk from the amenities of the other lakes, which include restrooms, showers, food concessions and a restaurant.

The closest S-bahn station is Lochhausen, which is along line S4 at coordinates 48.1771, 11.4065 (Map It). From there, it is a walk of nearly 3 kilometers north along Eschenrieder Strasse to reach the Langwieder Seen.

Note: The district boundary of the Munich urban district and Dachau runs straight through the Langwieder Seen. Birkensee is actually entirely within Dachau, while the other two lakes are within Munich.
