This privacy notice for Nudist Compass ("we", "us" or "our") describes how and why we might collect, store, use, and/or share ("process") your information when you use our Services.

We collect personal information that you voluntarily provide to us when you register on the Services, express an interest in obtaining information about us or our products and Services, when you participate in activities on the Services, or otherwise when you contact us.

You can use part of our Services as an anonymous user with no provided specific personal information.

Or, you can choose to use membership Services. Then, the required personal information necessary for creating an account is the nickname and email address. With that, you have to also choose a password, which is stored securely in encrypted form.

When creating a Content (profile, making a comment or describing a place), you may voluntarily provide other personal information like the profile age category, gender or the city/country of origin. This information can then be visible and searchable as an integral part of our Services.
You can also voluntarily provide graphical information like profile or album photos. Profile photos can be then visible and searchable as an integral part of our Services. Private album photos are visible only to paying - premium members of our Services.

Some information — such as your Internet Protocol (IP) address and/or browser and device characteristics — is collected automatically when you visit our Services. This does not reveal your specific identity (like your name or contact information) but may include device and usage information, such as your IP address, browser and device characteristics, operating system, language preferences, referring URLs, device name, country, location, information about how and when you use our Services, and other technical information. This information is primarily needed to maintain the security and operation of our Services, and for our internal analytics and reporting purposes.

Like many other web sites, we also collect information through cookies and similar tracking technologies.

We process your information to provide, improve, and administer our Services, communicate with you, for security and fraud prevention, and to comply with law. We may also process your information for other purposes with your consent.

Our servers are located in data centers of GoDaddy (https://www.godaddy.com) which is the provider of our virtual server hosting. As a result, we may transfer, store, and process your information in countries other than your own.

We do not share information with any third parties.

However, we do implement minimal necessary interfaces to partners providing specific delegated functionality like hosting, payments, map displays and analytics:
1) We use PayPal (https://www.paypal.com) for payments for our premium membership Services. We do not implement any financial related service by ourselves.
2) We use Google Maps (https://www.google.com/maps) for providing map functions of our Services.
3) We use Google Analytics (https://analytics.google.com) for internal analytics and reporting purposes.

We do not require, support or allow registering, logging in to our Services using a social media account. We do not actively support social media links in a Content.

We keep your information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes of the Service unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law (such as tax, accounting, or other legal requirements).

When we have no ongoing legitimate need to process your personal information, we will either delete or anonymize such information, or, if this is not possible (for example, because your personal information has been stored in backup archives), then we will securely store your personal information and isolate it from any further processing until deletion is possible.

We do not knowingly collect data from or market to children under 18 years of age. By using the Services, you represent that you are at least 18. If we learn that personal information from users less than 18 years of age has been collected, we will deactivate the account and take reasonable measures to promptly delete such data from our records. You may review, change, or terminate your account at any time.

Upon your request to terminate your account, we will deactivate or delete your account and information from our active databases. However, we may retain some information in our files to prevent fraud, troubleshoot problems, assist with any investigations, enforce our legal terms and/or comply with applicable legal requirements.
